In this paper we present a first working test setup for an adaptive optics systemthat we are developing. The aim of the research is to compensate for atmo-spheric tilt in a Free Space Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) link. We use ahome made membrane deformable mirror as active element and a novel fastPWM (Pulse Width Modulation) driven amplifier with a DSP (Digital Sig-nal Processor) developed in our labs. The system implementation choices andsetup are presented as well as the lab calibration of the system and a outdoortrial over 100 m in urban environment.
