Objective. To develop an automatic synthesis method for the on-line preparation of dopamine transport imaging agent [~11C]-beta-CFT. Methods. [~11C]-methyl triflate was bubbled into 0.1mg precursor nor-beta-CFT at 0°C, to get [~11C]-beta-CFT. The final product, [~11C]-beta-CFT, was then purified though C-18 column. The bio-distribution of [~11C]-beta-CFT was studied in SD rats. Results. The whole synthesis took about 4 min from [~11C] methyl iodide to [~11C]-beta-CFT. The synthesis yield(EOB) was 92.4±3.1%, the radiochemical purity over 98%, and the specific activity about 2000GBq/mmol. The uptake ratios of striatum to cerebellum were 2.1504.1803.15 at 5015030min after injection. Conclusions. The automated on-line preparation method was verified in producing [~11C]-beta-CFT of high radiochemical purity and synthesis yield in a short time.
