Electronic circuit simulation engines often use Kirchhoff's laws and branch equations as the physical theory and the systems of equations following from them as a mathematical formalism for the numerical simulation algorithms. We will show how to create a very different computer simulation scheme based on adaptive transformations of interactive circuit elements and their communication. An object-oriented computer language, C++, will be a natural implementation environment. The resulting simulation algorithm will model the actual physical behavior of a network, eliminating the obsolete phase of solving systems of equations.
