PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method which can correctly solve even a problem of a bad condition while maintaining the parallelism of calculation when solving simultaneous linear equations by using parallel computers. ;SOLUTION: In a conventional ND method, after meshes corresponding to a matrix are divided into partial areas and border points, each partial area is further divided into a set of points contacting the border points and other internal points (process 43) and the rows and columns of the matrix are rearranged so that the set of the points contacting the border points comes after a set of internal points belonging to the respective partial area (process 31). Consequently, the set of the points contacting the border points which causes the parallelism at the time of a pivot choice to be spoiled comes later and then operations for LU decomposition of the set of the internal points can be performed independently by the partial areas, so that the parallelism of the simultaneous linear equation solving method is improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
