NEW GENERATION MOBILE PHONE ANTENNA AND ITS INTERACTIONWITH THE HUMAN BODY

摘要

In this paper, a new 3G multi-band antenna is presentedfor GSM, DCS, PCS, UMTS and WPAN/WLAN bands.The antenna was designed and simulated under theElectromagnetic Simulator CST Microwaves Studio. Aprototype of the final version was fabricated andmeasured. The antenna's interaction with the human bodywas also investigated. Thus, simulations with ahomogenous head model were made and then comparedwith measurements. The results show a good agreementbetween the simulations and the measurements for boththe design and the body interaction studied parts.
