Since the first model describing the electrochemical behaviour on a pair of poroys Li-ion electrodes in 1994 by Fuller, Doyle, and Newman, called DUALFOIL, many derivative models have emerged, trying to address the different problems encountered in the Li-ion cell technology: - side reactions - lithium metal deposition - ageing - particle size effects. Such approaches have mainly included the particle level in a mean-field Implementation. This presentation looks always of addressing the Li-ion cell model using varied length scale approaches.
