Difficulties and Countermeasures of Microbe Control in Long-term Manned Spacecraft

The pressured cabin of manned spacecraft provides a hospitable enviroment for long-term onboard residence, which can also be a good condition for the the growth of microbes. These microbes bring about certain risks to the astronauts' health and the safety of space station platform. On the basis of lacking experiences in microbe control in prior tasks, microbe control is of great importance problem on the process of spacecrafts designing in the future. The article analyzes six difficulties in microbe control in long-term spacecrafts, and some corresponding countermeasures are proposed.
