Integrated Optical Closure with Handle-Locking Multi-Branching System for FTTx

The installation environment of fiber optic cable such as feeder, distribution and drop cable are changing as the configuration of fiber optic network is accelerating to the subscriber-centered from network backbone-centered. Especially, demands of fiber optic splitter, field assembly connectors for FTTx network are increasing so that the products for various fiber optic splicing and distributing and easy maintaining are needed. Nowadays the structure of in-line type fiber optic closure for splicing feeder and distribution cable is bolt assembly type for guaranteeing the mechanical and environmental characteristics of the closure. For distributing and splicing of subscriber's fiber optic cable, the fiber termination enclosure which is easy to open and close comparing to the bolt type fiber optic closure is located near by the subscriber. These facts have some problems to choose the products and to design networking line because there are various kinds of products for distributing and splicing fiber optic cable. To solve this problem, hybrid type of fiber optic closure which has the characteristics of easy assembly type (one-touch handle-locking system), and easy distribution of 48 drop cable by multiple silicon gasket is developed.
