Treatment Options for Sacroiliac Joint Disease

The definitive diagnosis of sacroiliac joint injuries provides individual tailoring of specific treatment modalities and recommendations for rehabilitation. Current therapy is directed toward supportive management of either articular pathology (sacroiliac joint osteoarthritis) or ligamentous injuries (sacroiliac desmitis). Further research is needed to assess the effectiveness of specific treatment recommendations of the sacroiliac joint region.
