The current age is witnessing a plethora of chemical preparations. There is a multitude of products available for various purposes, and drugs form an important component. Though the uses of drugs are incalculable yet they have the potential to cause poisoning if misused, abused or overused. Drugs normally considered safe can cause severe morbidity or mortality if taken in overdose. Patients suffering from depression, elderly and children are especially at risk.
