摘要

2-(Dinitromethylene)-4,5-imidazolidinedione (1) was synthesized by nitration of 2-methylimidazole and the routh in literature was magnified properly. Some new reactions of 1, such as ring cleavage, adduction, and decomposition were outlined. Reaction of 1 with nucleophiles led to formation of 1,1-diamino-2,2-dinitroethylene (2). The methanol adduct (4) was synthesized by reaction of 1 with methanol. Its structure was also characterized. 1 and 4 decomposed into parabanic acid (3) finally, losing nitrogen oxides and carbon oxides. The reaction mechanisms of 1, 2 and 4 were discussed.
