Antibiotic resistance can be effectively controlled by interrupting bacterial Quorum Sensing (QS) pathways. We have shown that the Staphylococcus aureus QS antigen RAP formulated in Freund's Adjuvants can protect against lethal challenge. We report findings on the vaccination of mice with RAP adjuvanted with poly-(L)-lactic acid (PLA) nanospheres, alum hydroxide (AlOH) or cholera toxin subunit B (CTB).
