Carbopol, Poloxamer and Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose Composite Film as a Buccal Patch Formulation

A polymeric film composed of Carbopol, poloxamer and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) was prepared to develop buccal patch formulation. The prepared film showed limited swelling ratio. The film also maintained its morphology for a sufficient period of time.
