Granulation of quick-release active subtilisin in a natural polymer for detergent application

摘要

Subtilisin was encapsulated within alginate granules produced by a novel process based upon emulsification/internal gelation, and acetone extractive drying. The mechanical and controlled release properties of the granules were modified through the addition of formulation excipients. The fundamental characteristics of enzyme granules demonstrate advantages suitable for applications such as detergent enzymes.
