In order to clarify the brain mechanisms of visual cognition for moving objects, evoked cortical magnetic responses for horizontally moving object were measured. A major response at the latency around 140 ms appeared in the location from the right parietal region. Another distinctive response around 240 ms was observed in the right temporal region The neural activity of the dorsal system in the right hemisphere was suggested to be necessary to visually catch the moving object and recognize it distinctively.
