Enzygnost HIV Integral II -A New HIV Ag-Ab Combination Assay with Outstanding Sensitivity and Specificity Features

In order to improve safety of blood supply it is essential to increase reliability of HIV detection in blood donations. DADE BEHRING launched one of the early 4~(th) generation HIV assays (Enzygnost HIV Integral), which in parallel detect HIV Antigen (Ag) as well as anti-HIV antibodies (Ab). To further narrow the diagnostic window between the HIV infection and its first serological detection, DADE BEHRING now developed a successor 4~(th) generation enzyme immunoassay, Enzygnost HIV Integral II, for the simultaneous detection of HIV p24 Ag and Ab to HIV-1 group M and O and HIV-2 in human plasma and serum.
