Sistematizacion y documentation de las mejores practicas prevention de VIH/SIDA en poblacion joven de 10 a 18 anos

Background: Identify best practices, support the revision of the theorical basis in terms of theoretical references and conceptual characteristics, and compare the design against the implementation experience in order to identify success stories of NGOs working on HIV/AIDS prevention among youth 10-18 age. Method: Inventory-assessment, semi structured surveys, observation of field activities and accompany the NGOs in the establishment, structure and documentation of the strategies for each institution. Results: The strategic design relies basically on the managerial level; disparities were observed in the implementation cycle, different criteria are applied in the processes of recruitment, direction and selection of multipliers. The lack of tolls for implementing a follow-up process was evident. Conclusions: The strategies and programs have had positive impact on both the multipliers and the recipient population, in terms of behavior change. The multipliers stress the achievements in terms of their personal development and leadership within their communities.
