PATH's Activities to Expand the International Hydrogen Community

PATH has been in existence for two years and is beginning to set a direction for its internationalactivities. PATH's initial efforts have been: to examine and report on each member country'shydrogen and fuel cell codes and standards, establish a vision of each member's energy futureand conduct country-specific hydrogen workshops for PATH members and prospective members.As a continuation of this effort, PATH, under an APEC grant, is engaged in raising the awarenessabout hydrogen and fuel cells. This effort involves capturing the experience of APEC membersin an expansion of the Sourcebook for Hydrogen Applications, conducting additional workshopsfor APEC member countries, and initiating an outreach research program. In addition, PATH isreaching a consensus on its role in demonstration projects, hydrogen and fuel cell codes andstandards, and hydrogen and fuel cell curriculum development. PATH is also developing a planto establish a researcher exchange program that will lead to a network of hydrogen experts.These are all presented in PATH's current program plan.
