摘要

In this paper, an assist method for human's operation of electric-powered wheelchairs is demonstrated. Safe drive and easy operation of electric-powered wheelchairs is realized by using a function of autonomous obstacle avoidance. Neural networks, which yield obstacle avoidance function, are improved by using the variable connection weight corresponding to environmental conditions and current wheelchair's state. Computer simulations compare the effectiveness of these proposed neural networks.
