Pruritus, fatigue and osteoporosis are complications of liver disease, including that secondary to primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC). These complications can have a marked negative impact on the quality of life of patients, and hence require specific addressing and treatment. In this chapter a general review on the treatment of these complications is provided..PRURITUS IN PBCA substantial number of patients with PBC have pruritus. The pruritus is believed to result from cholestasis, which is defined as impaired secretion of bile. The skin of patients with cholestasis and pruritus is devoid of primary pru-ritic skin lesions; however, excoriations and prurigo nodularis, consequences of scratching, abound. There are no universally satisfactory therapies to treat this form of pruritus
