This paper presents the development of extracorporeal suturing simulation in Virtual Basic Laparoscopic Skill Trainer (VBLaST~C). A novel hardware interface is designed to allow the user to perform the physical action of trying a knot and seamlessly integrate the knot into the virtual simulation.
