摘要

Measured and calculated modal responses of a rectangular plate with a closed cavity are presented. Tests were performed using non-contacting optical methods at varying cavity depths. Three different acoustic-structural interaction effects were identified: Acoustic stiffening apparent in the fundamental natural frequency, an increase in damping in the third mode and a small increase in fundamental frequency at a specific cavity depth.
