摘要

A new symbolic mathematical model is developed for use in finite element model updating. The model requires neither the expansion of measured degrees of freedom nor the elimination of the unmeasured degrees of freedom. Only the measured output quantities are explicitly expressed in symbolic form in terms of model correction parameters and the frequency of the output. The model is applicable to using normal modes, complex modes and forced responses with or without damping. The model is derived through computation being performed mainly at the element level. Thus computation is simple and numerical condition of matrices is easily monitored.
