摘要

No tillage has been a feasible soil management system to control soil erosion and maintain or increase the soil carbon stocks in tropical and subtropical regions,improving the soil quality and contributing to mitigate greenhouse gases emissions.However,maintenance or increase of organic matter stocks in no tilled soils depends also on annual crop residues addition by cropping systems.The purpose of the current study was to find out the annual C input required to keep the soil organic C stock steady with time in a subtropical Acrisol,and which no-till cropping systems are able to provide this annual input and therefore increase the organic matter stock.
