摘要

The standard characteristics-based boundary conditions for compressible viscous flow are analyzed analytically. It is found that this formulation exhibits an acoustic reflection factor approaching unity for low frequencies. A novel formulation for boundary conditions, which should appear fully non-reflecting to plane acoustic waves, was derived, implemented and successfully validated with Large Eddy Simulation.
