摘要

In this paper, we presented flow visualization of ink transfer from an engraved gravure plate to an elastic blanket pad to understand of gravure offset printing process by using high-speed CMOS camera. The silver nano particle ink was used and it has shear thinning characteristic. Captured image show the ink filament is more elongated than pure water and this difference may be due to the rheological characteristics of ink which is non-Newtonian shear-thinning fluid.
