Nanosecond space discharge is used for visualization of structure and coordinate of characteristic discontinuities in shock tube flow. Plane shock wave Mach numbers M=1.1÷4.5 in tube channel appear to be visualized as boarder, separating bright zone of discharge low density area in front of shock wave from dark zone of high density area behind shock surface. Applicability of the pulse volume discharge for visualization of relatively lengthy areas of density change, the contact zones between air and helium is shown. Length of discharge-visualized shock tube flow zones is in a good agreement with experimental data. Corresponding images are compared with shadow ones and experimental data on density profile in shock tube flow.
