APPLICATION OF FEDERATED FILTER IN SATELLITE ATTITUDE ESTIMATION AND INFORMATION SHARING

摘要

This paper describes a satellite attitude estimation system constructed of gyroscope, sun sensor, earth sensor and GPS attitude sensor. Federated filter is applied in the multi-sensor navigation system to obtain fault-tolerance performance. The investigation shows if the information sharing factors are set properly, all local filters will provide similar accurate solutions, and the fault of sensor will be easy to detect. The expressions to determinate information sharing factors are derived and the simulation result supports the analysis in this paper.
