The paper brings information regarding the possibilities to utilise the ESP dust - a by-product resulted from the cement manufacturing process - as a minor additional constituent besides slag and tuff in cement clinker grinding, in a ratio of 5% as per SR EN 197-1:2002, and in a ratio of 10%. Investigations carried out to establish the effect of the ratio of ESP dust on the physical and chemical characteristics of Portland composite cements have revealed the 5% ESP dust content to deliver preponderantly better results both for Portland slag cements and for Portland pozzolana cements as compared to the corresponding reference cements.
