ANALYSIS ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS BY CHINA'S LISTED COMPANIES BASED ON LOGIT MODEL

摘要

This paper analyses a model of the Performance of different types of mergers and acquisitions. It is assumed that mergers do not just lead to synergy, but also an act of diversificication. Due to the latter assumption we used unequal model to study the performance of differernt types of mergers and acquisitions. It is shown that the performance of differernt mergers and acquisitions is different, implying that, in equilibrium, the mergers will choose the appropriate type according to their characteristic.
