摘要

The paper is concerned with the development of efficient numerical tools for acoustics and elasto-acoustics. Both finite element (FE) and boundary element (BE) methods are considered with their specific advantages and limitations. Emphasis is made on the presentation of formulations selected for software implementation. Special attention is devoted to numerical treatment of practical problems. The main features of related software are summarized and trends for future developments are outlined.
