摘要

This paper treats an iterative shooting method based on sensitivity functions for solving non–linear two–point boundary value problems (BVPs), in the form of a fourth–order differential equation and more than four boundary conditions. The solution to this problem is possible only when the equation includes the required number of unknown parameters. In order to use this method, it is necessary to convert the BVP to an appropriate initial value problem (IVP). The presented method has been illustrated with a numerical example.
