摘要

Diurnal cycle of precipitation in Thailand was studied by radar data analysis and numerical simulation. It was shown that organized precipitation systems triggered in the afternoon around the lee side foot of mountains moved to the downwind direction every day and cause the climatic night maximum of diurnal variation of precipitation in the inland regions of Indochina. Recent numerical simulation on diurnal variation in Bangladesh indicated that the morning maximum of precipitation was also produced by moving precipitation systems as in Indochina but moved in the opposite direction related to the monsoon wind.
