Preparation and Properties of Hollow PET/PP Nonwoven Composite Materials Used for Car Interior

摘要

PET/PP nonwoven composite materials were prepared in this study to improve the sound absorbing and heat insulating performance of traditional car interior materials. Nonwoven acupuncturing and molding technology were applied, using 50 wt% PP fiber as matrix and hollow PET fiber to substitute normal PET fiber partly as enhance body. The effects of adding the hollow PET fiber on the flexural behavior, dimensional stability, heat insulating and sound absorbing performance of the composite material were analyzed. With the introduction of hollow PET, the flexural properties of the nonwoven composites slightly decreased while dimensional stability kept invariable. However, it is noticeable that sound-absorbing and heat insulating performance of the hollow PET/PP composites were greatly improved.
