MODERN SINUSOIDAL FREQUENCY RESPONSE ANALYSIS

In the search for more and more sophisticated methods of using broadband excitation and fft techniques for experimental modal analysis, the benefits of the humble sinewave have largely been forgotten. This paper will investigate the technique of sinewave correlation filtering as applied to the problem of vibration testing, in particular the accurate and repeatable measurement of transfer function gain and phase as required for modal analysis.
