Low cost self-installing offshore wind turbine support structures

摘要

The paper will outline both bottom-founded and floating offshore wind turbine support structures using proven, self-installing technology allied to new low-cost construction techniques to provide cost-effective durable support structures. The structure designs are based on technology developed for marginal oil and gas field developments and represent a practical step-change in offshore renewable economics.
