The Testing of Friction Materials with Two Kinds of Fibrous Industrial Minerals

The optimized effect of brake flake was obtained by the preparation of composite material composed of modified acicular wollastonite and fibrous sepiolite. The proportion of the two was 1:6. Such a kind of brake flake was tested by means of the CHASE test and bench test. The results proved that it is absolutely practical to apply the fibrous minerals of wollastonite and sepiolite to replace asbestos as the reinforcing material in brake flake.
