The foundation for realizing food security is sustainable development in China. This paper analized the changing trends in China's basie conditions and changing trends on grain and food security in China, put forword strategic selections for reasonable utilisation of food resources and environment protection. It is essential for China to realize the dual goal of food security and improvement of resource and environment.
