A Formal Representational Model of Emotion Knowledge

Systematic study on the antecedent events or situations of various emotions has become one of the significant issues in many AI researches that consider emotions. It is certain that different groups of people may have different emotions when something occurs. However, a comprehensive analysis OB the meaning structure of emotions and roles indicates that the notion of role is critical in emotion understanding and modeling. In this paper, we present a role-oriented, frame-based, seecond-order representational model of emotion knowledge, and a case study demonstrates the applicability of our representation.
