Separation and Purification of P-acetaminophenylacetate Ethyl by Molecular Distillation

The synthesis methods were simply introduced in the paper, and the technology of molecular distillation was applied to the separation of isomer for the first time. The factors of operating parameters like feed temperature, distillation temperature, distillation pressure, feed speed and operating stages on the separation degree and yield of p-acetaminophenylacetate ethyl have been studied, and function of cold trap was presented in molecular distillation process. The appropriate operating conditions obtained here from the experiment is: distillation temperature 90°C, operating pressure 0.1 Pa, feed temperature 55°C, feed speed 80ml/h, and rotor rate 135 rpm. After four stages of separation, the ratio of p-acetaminophenylacetate ethyl to o-acetaminophenylacetate ethyl reduces from 0.8358 to 0.4286.
