The presentation will cover three topics: fundamentals of die failure, troubleshooting methodolo-gy and root cause analysis and industrial case studies. This material will include a number of industrial cases where a concise analysis of tool failures was conducted. In each case, the root cause of a problem was used to develop a solution that resulted in significantly longer die life. Animations and process simulation will be utilized to clarify these topics.
