Everybody is aware of the fact that good medicine is also good business. There are two ophthalmic tests available to veterinarians that exemplify this fact. Tonometry and Schirmer tear tests can be done in general practice and in many cases by a trained technician. These tests would warrant an additional charge jut like veterinarians do for fecal floatation or heartworm checks.
