To an ever-increasing extent, customers and government agencies are demanding tangible quality management credentials from prospective suppliers. But companies need have no fear, say industry experts, because some quality management systems are tailored specifically to the needs of the recycling industry. A BIR workshop held recently in Istanbul summarised some of the options available to the sector as well as the value of taking them up.
