DISTILLERY EFFLUENT SPRAYING - A NOVEL METHOD FOR ORGANIC MATTER AUGMENTATION AND TRASH DECOMPOSTING

摘要

Spraying of raw distillery effluent on the trash in the ratoon crop of sugarcane gave an yield increase of 1.9 tonnes over trash mulching alone and 4.8 tons over the control plot where the trashes were burnt. On the quality front trash mulching and effluent spraying resulted in an increased recovery of 0.50% and 0.81% respectively over trash mulching alone and control.
