We have been studying optical wiring systems that consist of high-fiber-count MPO connectors whose fibers are arranged in 2 rows and 4 rows on their connection end faces, flame retardant fiber ribbons and flame retardant fiber-ribbon cables. In this paper, we will show the characteristics of these components as wiring systems for optical communication systems based on a VSR interface.
