^4fOptimized 72 Fiber Cable for Blown Installation in 10/8mm Microducts

^7fAn enhanced microduct cable design is presented, providing 72 fibers in an SZ-stranded fully dielectric design of only 6.2mm outer diameter, suitable for blowing distances of more than 2km in 10/8mm microducts, and with widened operating temperature range. The materials, construction and installation behavior are reported, as well as midspan access procedures and tools, which had been extensively tested with respect to the tiny cable structure.
