Three hew functional materials with cobalticinium units,|Cu(ccdc)_2]centre dot 2MeOH (ccdc = l,l'-cobalticinium dicarboxylate) (1),[Zn(ccdc)_2]centre dot 2DMF (2),and [Co(ccdc)_2]centre dot 2DMF (3),were synthesized and characterized.All compounds afford two-dimensional frameworks that are constructed by bridges of each metal(II) centers with ccdc ligands,in which the ccdc acts as unique monoanionic dicarboxylate ligands.The copper(II) center of 1 shows a distorted planar coordination geometry with four oxygen donors of cede.On the other hand,the zinc(II) and cobalt(II) centers of 2 and 3 demonstrate disroted tetrahedron.The difference of the coordination geometries affects on the stacking aspect of the two-dimensional layers.That is,while 1 forms closed cavities between the layers,2 and 3 create the one-dimensional channels between the layers.
