Bismuth compounds attract icreasing interests as reagents and catalysts in organic synthesis. We have reported that orgnanobismuth compounds are useful reagents for the cross-coupling reaction with organic halides and triflates. In particular, hypervalent organobismuth compounds, 12-aryl-5,6,7,12-tetrahydrodibenz[c,f][1,5]azabismocines, are highly reactive and recoverable reagents for the cross-coupling reaction with aryl halides.
