Copper is the most frequently used transition metal ion for the organic synthesis. Even though, there are almost no example for the divalent alkylocopper complexes. We have been prepared a series of the divalent alkylocopper complexes using tris(2-pyridylthio)methane (tptmH) as a ligand. The resulting complex contains Cu(II)-C(sp~3) bond with the help of the sulfur atoms bound to pyridine rings. The series of the alkylcopper presents the several unprcedented results including the stability of trivalent copper as well as the mixed valence polymer.
