H{sub}∞ Entropy and the Law of Requisite Variety

By investigating the information transmission in discrete multivariable LTI control system disturbed by stationary noise, the law of requisite variety of tracking problem is discussed based on a proposed necessary information condition for efficient tracking. In the interest of practical application, the measure of H{sub}∞. entropy is adopted to formulate this constraint of system design.
